St. John's Drama is excited to announce auditions for The Sound of Music, one of the most beloved musicals of all time! The Sound of Music is the true story of an Austrian Naval Captain, his seven children, and the woman who brought music, love, and joy back into their hearts and home.

Open auditions for for teens ages 13 (must be age 13 by May 31st) to age 18 (graduating seniors are still welcome to audition) will be held on May 17th and May 18th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Father Ruehl Hall at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. You may come either night. Call back auditions will be held on May 19th at 7:00 pm for only those that the directors feel they need to see a second time.  If you would like to audition but cannot come on these dates, Please contact Johanna Naccash at naccash@hotmail.com

Performances are planned for July 16, 17, and 18, 2021

Rehearsals are expected to be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00-9:30 pm and Fridays from 7:00-10:00 pm.  Additionally, we hope to hold one or two all day Saturday rehearsals during the month of June (dates to be determined). Everyone is expected to attend rehearsals every night of the week before opening night (tech week), July 11th through July 15th (no exceptions).

* Come prepared to sing 16 bars of a musical theatre style song (about 1 minute) not from the show.
* Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in and closed toe shoes. No flip flops.
* You can bring music or sing acapella. An accompanist will not be provided.
* Bring a full list of conflicts between now and July 18, 2021
* Bring a completed audition form.
* Teens must bring a completed membership form and $10 per family dues.
